JPG to DXF free, for laser and CNC

1. Upload a JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC (up to 20 MB). Black & white mode is already selected.
2. Type the width you want the drawing to be, in mm. The empty margin around it does not count.
3. Download the DXF, open it in LightBurn, LibreCAD, Fusion, AutoCAD or your machine software, and cut.

Every shape becomes a closed polyline on a layer called CUT, and the holes inside letters and shapes are their own closed outlines, so a laser cuts the inside of an “O” as well as the outside. The DXF is set to millimetres, and the drawing starts at 0,0.

A DXF for cutting is one colour of outlines, so the image is first turned into black and white. Logos, text, silhouettes, stencils, signs and line drawings convert cleanly. Light colours on a white background are kept as shapes too, so a yellow logo does not vanish.

• A photo turns into a stencil of its dark areas, which can look great on wood or metal but has many small outlines.
• Photo of a product or pet? Tick Remove the background first, so only the subject is traced.
• Always check the preview before you cut: what is black there is what becomes a shape.
