A healing brush, not a beauty filter
This isn't a full-face skin-smoothing filter, and we won't pretend it is. It's the same Magic erase tool as our object and person removal, aimed at one spot at a time: paint over a blemish, pimple, mole, dust speck or small mark and the AI reconstructs the skin, wall or surface it's sitting on, so the spot disappears instead of getting blurred.

Where it shines and where it struggles
Magic erase uses an AI inpainting model that paints in what it thinks belonged where you painted. It's genuinely convincing on a fairly even patch (plain skin, a wall, sky, a plain floor); blemishes sitting right on an eyebrow, hairline, freckle cluster or other fine detail are harder, because there's more for the AI to reconstruct correctly. Keep the brush tight to the mark itself rather than the area around it, that's the single biggest thing that separates a clean fill from a smudge.
One isolated spot on plain skin erases cleanly. A cluster of blemishes, or a mark sitting over a busy area like hair or a printed pattern, is much harder to rebuild, so expect to touch up with a second pass.

Tips for a believable result
Turn the brush size down before you start, a blemish is small and a tight brush covering only the mark leaves more real skin for the AI to match against. Do one spot at a time rather than painting several blemishes in one big stroke, small passes give a cleaner result than one wide one. Will it look natural on skin?
On a fairly even patch of skin, yes: the AI paints in skin tone and texture from around the spot. Blemishes near an eyebrow, hairline or other fine detail are harder, so keep the brush tight to the mark itself.
What brush size should I use for a small spot?
Drag the brush slider down before you paint. A blemish is usually small, and a tight brush that only covers the mark gives a cleaner fill than a wide one that eats into good skin around it.
Can it smooth my whole face or remove wrinkles?
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. This erases one spot at a time by rebuilding what's underneath, it isn't a skin-smoothing or beauty filter for the whole face.
Can I remove more than one blemish?

Can I remove dark spots or age spots from a photo, not just acne blemishes?
Yes: paint over the dark spot and the AI fills in the surrounding skin tone. The same brush works on age spots, sunspots and any small discolouration, not only pimples or acne.
Can I reduce bags under eyes or a bruise in a photo?
You can paint over a bruise or a distinct dark mark, and the fill will sample the nearby skin tone. Very large or irregular areas like under-eye bags are harder: the fill works best on a defined, small spot rather than a broad gradient.
Does it only work on skin, or can I retouch objects in photos too?
It works on any photo. The brush fills whatever you paint over with texture from the surrounding area: it removes a stain from a wall, a logo from a product, or a mark on any surface by the same mechanism as on skin.
Does the blemish remover work on dark or deep skin tones?
Yes: the fill samples the surrounding area, so it works with any skin tone. The result is most natural when you keep the brush tight to the spot so the sample area stays even in tone.
Can I remove a small tattoo or birthmark from a photo?
Yes: paint over it the same as any other mark. Small, solid-colour tattoos and flat birthmarks erase cleanly. Detailed or large tattoos are harder; a second pass on any leftover tint usually cleans it up.
Can I clean up blemishes across several photos in a batch?
