Full resolution. No watermark. Actually free. Most background removers hand you a 625×400 preview and charge for the real file. This one doesn't.
iOS can lift a subject out of a photo by long-pressing it, and for a quick sticker that is genuinely the fastest route. It has two limits that send people here: it hands you the subject to paste somewhere else rather than a saved transparent PNG, and it decides on its own what counts as the subject — with no way to correct it when it clips an ear, a handle or half a shadow.
This page gives you the file instead: a real transparent PNG in your Files or Photos, plus brushes to fix what the cut got wrong. If all you need is to drop a subject into a chat, use the iOS trick; if the file has to be reusable, use this.
There is no app, no account and no camera-roll permission beyond the photo you pick yourself.
iPhones save as HEIC by default and most background tools quietly reject it. This one takes HEIC as it comes off the camera, so you do not have to change a setting or convert anything first.
Two things to know. A Live Photo uploads as its still frame, which is what you want here. And a screenshot of a photo will always cut worse than the original file, because the screenshot has already been re-compressed — pick the real photo from the library when you can.
Transparency itself is a PNG feature: if you save the result as JPG the transparent area comes back as white, which is fine for a form but not for a logo you plan to place on something. See what a transparent PNG actually is.
Two other things a phone photo brings along, best fixed before you cut anything out: a front-camera selfie is often saved mirrored, and an old print re-photographed at an angle can land sideways.
